🗓️ This Week's Top 3 Family Picks

🏆 Pick #1
The Great Egg Hunt — 14,000 Eggs, Zero Cost!
The Naperville Jaycees are back with their legendary Great Egg Hunt at Frontier Sports Complex, and this year they've stuffed 14,000 candy and treat-filled Easter eggs across four softball fields. Kids are divided into age groups (0–2, 3–4, 5–6, and 7–8), so big kids won't steamroll the little ones. The horn blows at 9 AM and the mad dash begins! No registration required — just show up with a basket and your biggest smile. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to grab a good spot since parking fills up fast.

🦌 Pick #2
Vivid Creatures — Giant Sculptures at The Morton Arboretum
If you haven't seen the new Vivid Creatures exhibit at the Morton Arboretum yet, this Easter weekend is the perfect excuse. Five jaw-dropping sculptures of animals native to northern Illinois — including a 23-foot sandhill crane, a giant fox squirrel, and a massive blue dasher dragonfly — are scattered among the trees and blooming spring gardens. On Saturday and Sunday, kids can also join the free Vivid Creations Art Workshop in the Children's Garden (included with admission), where they'll create their own art inspired by the sculptures. It's a full-day adventure with fresh air and serious "wow" moments for the whole family.

🌿 Pick #3
Cantigny Park — 500 Acres of Spring Perfection
Cantigny Park in Wheaton is one of the most stunning — and most underrated — family destinations in the western suburbs. This sprawling 500-acre former estate offers formal gardens bursting with spring tulips and magnolias right now, an outdoor playground, a military museum with real tanks kids can climb on (yes, really!), and miles of peaceful walking paths. Admission is completely free, and it's only a short drive from Naperville. Pack a picnic, let the kids run wild on the grounds, and then stroll through the rose garden while everything is in perfect spring bloom. It's the Easter Sunday afternoon you didn't know you needed.
